Arnold Schwarzenegger is still a great bet

Por sumily

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is a former Austrian bodybuilder, actor, businessman and politician, nationalized American, who served as the thirty-eighth governor of the state of California from 2003 to 2011.

Schwarzenegger gained worldwide fame for being the biggest icon in Hollywood action movies, known for his starring roles in such films as Conan the Barbarian, Commando, Terminator, Predator, Total Recall and The Expendables. He was nicknamed the Austrian Oak and the Styrian Oak in his days of bodybuilding, Arnie during his career as an actor and more recently the Governator (a contraction of Governor and Terminator). In addition, he is in the WWE Hall of Fame, entering in 2015, and was announced as a playable character "The Terminator" in WWE 2K16.

Amazon extends its investments to overproductions for its video platform with two powerful projects. For the first, a western entitled Outrider. The giant of the electronic commerce turned into an audiovisual producer has signed the actor of Terminator and ex-governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. For the second, he will convert Robert E. Howard's books on Conan the Barbarian into a series in which, it should be noted, his famous film face will not participate.

According to Deadline, Outrider will be set at the end of the 19th century in the Indian territory of the current state of Oklahoma. It will tell the dark and dangerous story of a sheriff who is charged by a brutal judge with the mission of catching a legendary outlaw, a mandate he must fulfill with a ruthless federal agent. As the plot unfolds, the enemies will become allies and a series of unpredictable surprises will take place that will blur the line between the good guys and the bad guys.

The Austrian Schwarzenegger will play the federal agent, an European immigrant who arrived in the United States when he was a child. In addition, it will produce the series. Trey Callaway and Mark Montgomery sign and produce Outrider with Mace Neufeld, executive producer of the upcoming Amazon drama Jack Ryan. This will be the first television project that Schwarzenegger will star in after his eventful passage through Celebrity Apprentice, a format known in Spain as El Aprendiz. The actor entered the program to replace the critic Donald Trump, who after 14 seasons left his job as a driver to stand for presidential elections.

As it was advanced at the beginning, the series of Conan the Barbarian will be based on the original novels that Robert E. Howard began publishing in 1932. Three well-versed television creators are behind the project: Colony co-creator Ryan Condal, Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik and Fargo executive producer The Handmaid's Tale Warren Littlefield. Pathfinder Media and Endeavor Content will be the producers.

Two projects mark the line of the new strategy of Amazon Prime Video, focused on large genre productions with international appeal in the style of Game of Thrones. An example of this is the multimillionaire adaptation agreement of The Lord of the Rings. The recent renovation of the superhero comedy The Tick, or the cancellation of more minority series like One Mississippi, I Love Dick, Jean-Claude Van Johnson or, previously, The Last Tycoon, Z: The Beginning of Everything, Good Girls Revolt and Mad Dogs
